Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are prohibited when using the Power DNS Operations DNS hosting services (the "Service"). It supplements our Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited activities
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Host DNS records that facilitate phishing, malware distribution, command-and-control infrastructure, or other malicious activity.
- Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any party.
- Manage domains you do not own or are not authorized to control.
- Distribute spam or support operations that do so.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, our network, or other users.
2. Fair use of shared name servers
Our shared name servers are a common resource. We may apply reasonable limits on zone counts, record counts, and API request rates to protect service quality for all customers.
3. Abuse reporting
To report abuse of a domain hosted on our name servers, contact abuse@p-dns-operation.com with the domain name and a description of the issue. We review reports and may act on them, including suspending affected zones.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action including warning users, removing or disabling records or zones, and suspending or terminating accounts. Where practical we will provide notice, but we may act immediately to protect the Service or third parties.
5. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
